Not too Late to Eat

Here at Results Fitness we love to buck the system. If there is a stereotype for losing fat that does not work, we will be the first to let you know. Some of our philosophies are so revolutionary it takes months to convince people.Well here is another idea that might be a little hard to comprehend.

For years I have heard that you are not supposed to eat after 7 p.m.The word was if you ate too late you were not active enough for your body to metabolize the food in your system thus it would be stored as fat.As it turns out that is false. If the goal is body fat loss a late meal is fine. This will not allow for more overall weight loss in the short term, however, this will allow for more fat loss. The reason for this is simple. When you eat a late meal you will preserve more of your lean tissue and thereby allow you to burn more body fat throughout the day. When the goal is fat loss what we really want to look at is the body composition.Overall weight does not matter if your body fat is high.

A great way to prevent a late night breakdown of your lean tissue (and overall better fat loss) is to have a protein shake before bedtime.Try our Muscle Provider or Ultra Size as pre bed protein shake.
